Law = Death

The law is always death for man

This verse JUMPED out at me yesterday as it tells us what God thinks of the wisdom of the person who teaches law or doing anything to obtain your own righteousness.  Look at who he lumps them in with below in 1 Cor 1:20:

Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?  1 Corinthians 1:20 NIV

God lumps in the one who teaches law in with the same group as the person who thinks they are “wise”, the “philosopher of this age” and equates all of them to the “foolish wisdom of the world”.

Teaching people the “Law” is called “Legalism” and it is believing and teaching people to live under any set of rules or Commandments for righteousness or goodness.  However, it is even more deeply seated and subtle than that.  It’s can also be defined as:

  1. Doing anything to change ourselves
  2. Doing anything to change or our standing with God or try to “earn” favor
  3. Doing anything to get something from God

Do we really understand what this means?  I don’t believe we really do because the majority of current Christianity teaches law and is really teaching the basis of Judaism or the OLD Covenant.Continue reading

I believe I must have been dreaming. I have always been a big “dreamer” I guess.

It has fed me lots of hope during times of darkness to get me “through”. Isn’t it the hope that really keeps us getting up each day and pressing forward? Hope that things will be better and even completely “made right” one day by our loving father and Lord Jesus?

Maybe it’s just me, but I have really been enamored with the beauty of the Lord’s body called the Church. Lately, I have been seeing her through the eyes of faith. She is extremely beautiful, righteous and lovely and the whole world flocks to her for their true needs.Continue reading

The words of the Lord at the table keep coming back to me at times when I am thinking about the Old Covenant of Law Vs. New and True Covenant of Grace.  I hear “go and do what you must do” when he talks to Judas Iscariot to go and betray Jesus.  I know this is taught quite often of how “evil” he was by betraying Jesus, but do we realize this was all by God’s plan?

Look at the very Words of Jesus.

“While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name which You have given Me; and I guarded them and not one of them perished but the son of perdition, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled John 17:2 NASB

Do we really understand and see what this is saying?

God’s plan WILL OCCUR and he has planned it from the beginning of time that one of the twelve WOULD betray him.  He WOULD turn over Christ to the religious, self-righteous Pharisees who were under the covenant of law or the “ministry of death” (condemnation), so they could kill him.  This is ALL part of God’s plan from BEFORE ANYTHING was ever created.  God’s plan WILL be fulfilled.Continue reading

Pastor Paul White has a great teaching on “disarming the accuser” or the Devil.  He has a clear and powerful teaching style.  In this teaching he also goes into parts of Revelation and gives great insight as to the timing of some of the events.  He also talks about how the Devil lost his authority at the cross plus some other very encouraging details.

Below is an email that I sent to the authors of the book “Helping Others Overcome Addictions: How God’s Grace Brings Lasting Freedom“.

I have the same passion as they do which is to “set the captives free”.  Steve McVey is a former pastor of many churches and he was given the revelation of God’s grace back in 1991 while he was pastoring a church he was wanting to grow.  He wrote the best-selling book “Grace Walk” which I highly recommend.  His ministry is also called “Grace Walk” and he is coming out with a new book called “Beyond an Angry God” which I am highly anticipating to be a great success.  You can find more about this book at

Mike Quarles is also trained in the seminary and has struggled with alcoholism for a large portion of his life, but was SET free in an INSTANT 25 years ago by Christ.  Now, he has a ministry helping others to be free from their bondages and addictions.  This is something I have a HUGE passion for as well because the maternal side of my family struggles greatly with alcoholism and other addictions.  I, myself, struggle with overeating and a few other things that are still present in my spiritually dead body.  I know the pain and hardship these things cause.  My hearts desire is for everyone to see and walk in the TRUTH and FREEDOM that Christ died for us to have.  This truth will really SET A PERSON FREE when they understand it.  Freedom truly is one revelation away for many of us.Continue reading

I am working on something that is very powerful that could change some of the foundational beliefs we have about who we are.

I have been spending many hours in Genesis and Revelation the past 6 months and what God is revealing is nothing short of astonishing.   I believe it is going to give you SUCH internal peace that you are NOT a dirty ROTTEN, FALLEN “sinner” as we are taught to think.   Unfortunately, those who teach this often don’t mention that our own will in this matter was tied up into Adam in the garden.  However, even if we blame Adam for our own brokenness, we would be wrong.  Adam did not cause us to all become sinners as we are taught.

You will be amazed at what God’s Word says on this matter and I am very excited to share what I have found.  We  have been missing the TRUTH for a LONG time and the truth is VERY GOOD.

I hope to share this soon.  Have a great day!

Did you know that the OT law and (Ten) Commandments are what give sin and death it’s power?

That’s right, that is what the Bible teaches.  Many people are not aware that the Bible says that every time anyone teaches the Ten Commandments, sin actually INCREASESSee Romans 5:20.

The Law came in so that the transgression (sin) would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more Romans 5:20 NASB

It’s like putting up a sign on a glass window where teens walk by that says “DO NOT THROW STONES AT THIS GLASS!” What do you think they will want to do?

That’s right. Sooner or later, some rebellious kid will throw one and break the window. He may have not even been thinking of doing it until he saw the “law” or rule posted. Romans 3:20 tells us this.

Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.  Romans 3:20 (NIV)

This is a powerful truth to understand if we ever want to be free and have lives of peace, love and joy. Here is the real purpose of the law.

for the Law brings about wrath, but where there is no law, there also is no violation.  Romans 4:15 (NASB)

The “law” or ANY RULE to live by such as “do this” or “don’t do that”, ALWAYS bring about God’s WRATH. Anyone who relies on works of the law or trying to “do this” and trying not to “do that” are under God’s curse. See Gal 3:10.

For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them.”  Galatians 3:10 (NASB)

It does not matter how righteous and good the action appears. If we do it while under law, we are coming under God’s curse and will be administered death via condemnation to our inner man or heart. Have you ever volunteered or did anything where you felt pressured to or obligated in any way? How did you end up feeling?  Now, you know what I am talking about. The only way you can not be cursed when you are under works of the law is to be an absolute perfect person 100% of the time. God’s perfect law is like a chain and if you break one law one time, you have broken one link and the whole chain is broken. It does not matter what you believe or don’t believe, this is a law just like gravity that applies to all mankind.

Think about this verse today. It will show you what I am talking about. If we ever want to live a life of peace, love and joy, we have to break free from all law based living and thinking.

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law  1 Corinthians 15:56 (NASB)

Now, we know why 2 Corinthians 3:7 calls the Law (including the Ten Commandments) the Ministry of DEATH!

But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was  1 Corinthians 3:7

Now, does it make sense why there is ALL the talk of “stoning” people to death “Stone” = law = DEATH!  Jesus is the only one who has LIFE and he “rolls AWAY the stone (death)!”

And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb Luke 24:2 NASB

So Jesus, again being deeply moved within, came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone was lying against it. Jesus said, “Remove the stone.” Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there will be a stench, for he has been dead four days.” John 11:38-39 NASB

Anytime in the old testament when someone sinned, they were stoned to death because they were under law.  Jesus had not yet come to reveal the New Covenant of Grace.  That is the purpose of the law, to administer DEATH to a sinner.  All people who are under the Covenant of Law trying to earn ANY of their own righteousness are defined as “sinners” and must die under that covenant.  This is the ENTIRE creation in ADAM.  Not one of them will get out alive.  But, hang with me because there is a GREAT ending in store.

Before I gave you the awesome ending, let’s look a little more into the ministry of “death” engraved on “letters of stone“.

In Matthew 24 Jesus and his disciples are discussing his return.  He tells them something very powerful just before this that they probably didn’t fully understand what he was saying.

Jesus came out from the temple and was going away when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him. 2 And He said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down.” Matthew 24:1-2

These are powerful SPIRITUAL WORDS above in Matt 24:1-2.  So, what is God’s true “temple”?  We (true believers) are!  Jesus is telling them that in the true temple of God – the body of Christ, ALL LAW (stones) will be torn down!

So, how do we get free of the law, sin and death? Great question!  I think you already saw the answer.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes  Romans 10:4 (NASB)

Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses Acts 13:39 NASB

If you can believe that at the cross Christ took away all your sins and paid for every wrong you ever did (past, present AND FUTURE!), then something amazing has happened!  The (spiritual) person you were that was under LAW DIED and you have been reborn as a New creation in Christ who is set free from EVERY SIN!  This new creation person is NOT under any law and is declared as righteous (not guilty) as he is! Then, you are free to listen to him inside you as he actually becomes your life and lives from within you. Gal 2:20 He leads you in each and every waking moment to places of rest and peace even in the middle of the STORM!

Truth is, we can’t believe this ourselves, but Jesus can help us to and his father has a time for this to occur for everyone.  Simply ask Jesus today to help you believe this.  He is always right there to help us in our time of need and he will actually give you HIS faith!  If you sincerely desire to do that, it already shows it is YOUR TIME to pass from DEATH (law) to LIFE (Grace)!

This is true peace as you are out from under ALL LAW-based thinking and begin “walking” or living by his Spirit inside you.  You are free from all law and all sin forever!

Great things to think about today. Hope you have an awesome Monday.

This morning I woke up hearing about the veil that separates natural man from God. All week, my thoughts have been going back to the “veil” that exists between man and God, really between man’s soul and his spirit or the entire spirit realm. I also believe this is the same veil or “firmament” in Genesis 1:6.

This prompted me to start digging as this always leads to deeper understanding. I found some pretty eye opening scriptures but to fully benefit from them, one should also study and understand the Old Covenant Tabernacle and sacrificial system. Unless we know what that was all about (type or pointer of the true heavenly system) I don’t believe we will understand or fully appreciate the magnitude of the amazing one time for all sacrifice of Christ. Hebrews 10:12, 1 Peter 3:18

Have you ever pondered these verses and what they are saying? To me, they are absolutely amazing.

Leviticus 16:15 “Then he shall slaughter the goat of the sin offering which is for the people, and bring its blood inside the veil and do with its blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat and in front of the mercy seat.

This was done by the high priest once a year under the old system of law by a man with sin. Because he himself was not PERFECT this had to be repeated over and over. According to Hebrews 10:1 (below), the system of law and sacrifices was not the real and true system, but merely a shadow of the truth which is in Heaven or the realm of the Spirit.

Hebrews 10:1 (NASB) For the Law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of things

Hebrews 10:1 and 10:4 tell us there is a big problem with the old system of law and sacrifices.

Hebrews 10:1 (NASB) For the Law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make perfect those who draw near

Hebrews 10:4 (ESV) For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins

Do you see what the author of Hebrews is saying is wrong with the Old Covenant of Law? There is a new and better way coming, but it was not yet disclosed.

Hebrews 9:8 The Holy Spirit is signifying this, that the way into the holy place has not yet been disclosed while the outer tabernacle is still standing,

God’s answer coming up.

Romans 8:3 (NIV) For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh

Hebrews 10:12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;

1 John 2:2 (NIV) He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world

Hebrews 9:12 (NASB) and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption

These are some POWERFUL verses to think about and meditate on to see what they mean. Look at Hebrews 9:12 above. Did you see it says “eternal” redemption? What is an “eternal” redemption?  To me it means it is OUTSIDE of our realm of space and time or forever.  Check out some of the other translations of this verse at

It also made me ask myself “Where does man exist in his natural soulish state?” Is he eternal or mortal? Is he not on the OTHER side of the veil?

I found some more verses on what else happened at the cross.

Luke 23:45 (NKJV) Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two

Hebrews 10:20 (ESV) by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain (veil), that is, through his flesh

Ephesians 2:11-12 (NIV) Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands)— 12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.

Ephesians 2:14 (NIV) For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility

Ephesians 2:18 for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

Hebrews 10:19-20 Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,

Hebrews 10:21-22 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Hebrews 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil,

This is so beautiful the amazing picture that I see.  Remember, this is TRUTH and man himself does NOT affect or impact truth.    Only God is truth and he NEVER changes.

What do you see?

While driving to a client site recently and listening to the Audible version of “The Message” (which I HIGHLY recommend), something that was being said SPOKE to me very clearly from within. It was a reference in Hebrews where we are told that at Mt. Sinai no one could touch the mountain, neither man nor “beast” or they would be put to death. This caught my attention. Why couldn’t a “beast” or animal touch the mountain?  I believe this is NOT a physical animal, but rather a spiritual animal as I hope to reveal to you.  Why would they have their physical animals with them at the Mountain?

This made me think of the what God has been revealing about the TWO Kingdoms or “seeds” on Earth. One is the “seed” of the Serpent or the Devil and the other is the seed of the “woman” who we know was Christ.  This is based on what God says in Genesis 3:15 when he was speaking to the serpent (Satan).

And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.” Genesis 3:15 NASB

Then I started to ask myself who exactly is “the woman”?  This ran me off a little rabbit trail which I ended up creating a whole separate post for to  keep things as simple as possible.

Exactly who is the woman?  Is she just a physical woman or something more?  What I found is very interesting…  Although she was also “Eve” a physical woman I believe God’s Word tells us MUCH more about who Eve is a sign or type (pointer) of. Eve the woman may have been the beginning of all the physical living, but what about the spiritual side of creation?  I hope to have these thoughts posted soon as we may possibly see a connection between Eve and the Holy Spirit, both of whom are “helpers”.  Could one be the mother of all physical living and the other is mother of all the SPIRITUAL living?

Back to the two “seeds” or Kingdoms.  One is Earthly (seed of serpent) and one is Heavenly (seed of God – Jesus). We are told of these two seeds and Kingdoms and why they will fight each other way back in the 3rd chapter of Genesis verse 15 that I put above.

So, are these “seeds” or Kingdoms somehow related to “beasts” and “animals”?

YES!  I hope to show you this and maybe it will shed new light on why animals or “beasts” were sacrificed under the Old Covenant.  I will tell you upfront what I have concluded:  One of these “seeds” or Kingdoms is man and one Kingdom God calls “beasts“.  So, let’s look at these two seeds or Kingdoms a little more in-depth.

I believe that the seed of the serpent is Satan’s earthly Kingdom of unbelief and many of us know the seed of the woman is Christ who is the start of God’s Kingdom. Christ was born of a “woman” right under the serpents nose in HIS OWN KINGDOM of the flesh and darkness! God is so clever.  However, I have to admit that I can’t rule out the possibility that Satan does report fully to God as we know that Jesus is the head of all rule and authority according to Col 2:10.

Back to the two Kingdoms.  Is there any other places in the Bible we hear about them?

Yes, from Jesus himself.

Jesus speaks more on these kingdoms in Matthew 13 in a parable.  Although it is a parable, we can learn DEEP truths about God and the things of the Spirit.  If God gives us eyes to see this, we will actually see how the two kingdoms from Genesis 3:15 are working together right alongside each other. One is a believer and one is not. I am sure you know which Kingdom is which.

Jesus presented another parable to them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went away. 26 But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the tares became evident also. 27 The slaves of the landowner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 And he said to them, ‘An enemy has done this!’ The slaves *said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he *said, ‘No; for while you are gathering up the tares, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30 Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.”’” Matt 13:24-30 NASB

Once the crouds left Jesus tells his disciples in private what he was talking about. This shows us the true meaning of these powerful words.

Then He left the crowds and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.” 37 And He said, “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man Matt 13:36-37

So, we know this.  The sower of the good seed = “son of man” or Jesus himself

and the field is the world Matt 13:38 NASB

Also, we are told that the “Field” = “The World”. Now, when you come across the word “field” in the Bible, try replacing it with “the World” and see what God may be trying to reveal to you from the true realm of the Spirit.  You can also think of Jesus as the “sower of the good seed”.  What else can we learn?

and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one (Matthew 13:38 NASB)

Now, we know more specifically that the “good” seed are the son’s of the Kingdom or true believers. The “tares” are the sons of the evil one. Jesus tells us more in the next verse.

and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels (Matthew 13:39)

Do you see the RICH story here that Jesus is telling us?

We have the two Kingdoms on Earth growing side by side since Genesis 3:15 and into this current age called “The Church Age” or “Age of Grace”.  This current age has one purpose – to identify and quicken to life the body (bride) of Christ. These are the son’s (and daughters) of the Kingdom that have been identified so far and quickened to spiritual life in him to form his “body”. The other Kingdom is the Kingdom of darkness or Satan’s Kingdom or the “seed” of the serpent. Now, before someone reads this and gets all bent out of shape or scared that Jesus says he will destroy Satan’s Kingdom at the end of the age, please take your time to understand exactly WHAT Satan’s Kingdom is.

I hope to be unpacking this more and more, but I can assure you that God hates all self righteousness or the belief that you can obtain your own righteousness apart from him. This is THE Lie that is created by the power of sin and death in our bodies! This lie is just as prevealent in religious circles as it it outside of them, maybe even more so. God does NOT hate the people themselves. He loves them. He hates the DARKNESS or “UNRIGHTEOUSNESS” that keeps them believing lies and thus they can’t see the truth. Under the new covenant, God calls this “disobedience” or simply “unbelief”.  Satan is the father of all unbelief or “disobedience”.  Check out Ephesians 6:12 as it shows us that people are not the enemy.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.  Eph 6:12

The next verse gives us some more detail about this as it tells us who is in charge of this darkness and that his spirit is working in the “sons of disobedience” to produce unbelief.  This is because he is still darkening their spirit man and Jesus has not yet quickened their spirit to life.

in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.  Eph 2:2

The people are “in” unrighteousness” or “disobedience” or simply in “unbelief”. They, themselves who are SPIRIT are not the unbelief.  They are IN unbelief or UNRIGHTEOUSNESS/disobedience.  I hope you can see the difference as it’s VERY IMPORTANT!  It is like saying someone is in a totally dark room.  They are NOT the dark room itself.  They are only IN it.  The dark room is what causes them to not see.  There is NOTHING wrong with their own vision.  If Jesus comes and shines a light in that dark room by the door, they WILL be able to see it and walk out through the door.  This is a VERY POWERFUL concept to understand when it comes to understanding how faith works.

So, what exactly is the power of “DARKNESS” or “disobedience” (unrighteousness) that causes the unbelief that they are “in”?

GREAT QUESTION to ASK!  Their fallen body still contains the power of sin! Their spirit-man has not yet been quickened to life (no light in the room yet!) and are simply IN darkness or IN flesh yet or “INunrighteousness or “in sin”. God always separates the person from the behavior of the outer man or “flesh” whether believer or not. He only recognizes if their spirit-man has life or not.  You are either (spiritually) alive or (spiritually) dead.  He only recognizes a person by the state of their heart or spirit man and not their outer person or “the flesh”.  He tells us that we too are to recognize NO ONE according to the flesh or “outer man”.

Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. 2 Corinthians 5:16

God tells us to recognize NO ONE, both believer AND unbeliever, according to the flesh!  The “flesh” is our outer man and the natural, spiritually dead inner man or our “spirit” before we are “reborn from above” at new birth in Christ.  Once we are reborn as a son of God, the flesh is only the outer man or our “human appearance” which includes ALL “behaviors and actions”! (Think about this side thought: We are told to not even regard JESUS according to outer “appearances and behavior” anymore!) The “flesh” or outer man is where all unrighteousness and sin is now. We are to recognize ALL others (believer and unbeliever) according to God’s TRUE view which is according to their INNER man or Heart/spirit.  A person is either “dead” or “alive” according to God.  If Jesus has quickened a person’s inner spirit-man to life that person is now (spiritual) alive and is NO LONGER “dead” or in Satan’s Kingdom.  Their being (soul and Spirit) has been transferred or “translated” to the Kingdom of the Son or “heaven itself”.

For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son Col 1:13 NLT

When a person believes the truth because Christ revealed it to them inside their heart or “spirit-man”, their being who is Soul (individual personality) and Spirit (life force) is no longer in Satan’s Kingdom of darkness.  They now are a “citizen” of Heaven (Phil 3:20) and are also “seated WITH Christ in the Heavenly places”. Eph 2:6  This person is no longer “in” their sin because sin is now only in the physical human body and NOT their soul or spirit (true self) who is in Heaven, a totally different realm or dimension.

It’s important to remember that the “seed” of the Serpent or Satan’s Kingdom is the Kingdom of the flesh or dead spirit man and the outer, natural man (physical body).  Jesus’ Kingdom for now is completely spiritual, but one day they will merge together fully and be one due to Christ’s reconciling work at the cross.

Once we learn how God separates our true being or “me” from the “flesh” where sin is, we can understand more parts of scripture.  This is why Jesus said “you will die IN your sin” to the self-righteous Pharisees. Their “sin” was their “FLESH” that produced UNBELIEF and was their dead spirit and SOUL man who was still under the power of darkness or Satan. I believe the “you” or individual person he was talking to or about is their soul.  Our soul is our individual human or personality that makes us unique.  Our spirit is the life force that is either “sin” under power of darkness (Satan) or “righteousness” under power of light (Jesus).  Thus, one way we can interpret what Jesus meant is that their soul would “die” before they were reborn in their spirit man or heart.  Truly, this happens to every natural person.  “The soul who sins shall die” and the “wages of sin is death”.

It was not God’s plan for them to be brought to Eternal life in this current age while their natural, physical body was alive. They were not part of his true body. But, God is not done with them yet. His plan spans many ages. As a matter of fact, check out another most astonishing thing Jesus told a PHARISEE!

“Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you that the tax collectors and prostitutes will get into the kingdom of God before you.  Matt 21:31

This is SO POWERFUL to what I am saying and one of the overall things I am hoping to share about God’s plan.  According to God’s Word, there are two types of people.  One is the body of Christ who WILL believe the truth and enter the KINGDOM in this current age.  These are the ones who know they have NO RIGHTEOUSNESS of their own.  Jesus calls them “tax collectors and prostitutes” but really they are the humble ones who know they can not do anything to fulfill God’s law.  So they surrender to Jesus fully.  The second group are the self-righteous Pharisees.  They believe they are good enough to do something to get into heaven.  They are fully deceived. But, look at what Jesus says to them at the end of Matt 21:31 above.

He says that they (tax collectors and prostitutes) will enter God’s Kingdom “before you” (Pharisees)!  See, God is not done with even the self-righteous people.  He has a wonderful plan for everyone and it is an awesome plan of LOVE and true love does “not take into account wrongs”, “focuses on OTHERS needs” and “NEVER FAILS”!  1 Cor 13.  Remember, God IS love and Jesus paid for the sins of the WHOLE World!

Sorry, Gods plan is so amazing and so good I keep getting ahead of myself.  Let’s get back to the discussion of flesh and who God says the real person is.

We must always remember that God loves the person who is Spirit (and soul), but hates the “flesh” part which is “self will” or simply unbelief which is in the OUTER, NATURAL man caused by the power of sin in our bodies. This is what God will destroy and refine away in his Holy Fire at the end of time as this creates self-will or unbelief. All unbelief is caused by the very power of sin and death itself that is inside the human body (both “saved” and “unsaved”). More importantly, it is the POWER OF UNBELIEF or DARKNESS! “It” really “HE” or the “God of this world” makes us believe the very same lie that he himself believes – “we can be GOD WITHOUT God!” See Genesis 3:1-6! This belief, really LIE is in the “flesh” which is in the outer man or human body.  See, we are spirit/soul (immaterial) beings that are simply born into bodies of darkness or “disobedience” (unbelief).  We were all placed into these bodies of “disobedience” by God himself.  Why did he do that?  This will amazed and astound you when the Lord reveals it to you.

For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all Rom 11:32 KJV

I will let you sit with that one as it’s a tough one to believe that God is that good.   I can personally and positively assure you that he is!

Let us be reminded AGAIN (we can’t say this enough!) that God says our individual person is in our INNER man or Spirit man and not the external natural, physical man. See Romans 7:17 where Paul shows us that we are not the “sin” that is in our “members” or physical body itself.  We are not sin, we can only be “in” it as an unbeliever or completely separated (circumcised) from it as a believer. This is one of the most powerful things that God can ever show us.  It is the truth that really sets us free! See previous article where I explain that there really is ONE sin now under the NEW Covenant and that is the sin of UNBELIEF! Ponder all this with the Lord, he will show you these great and mighty things.

Thus, at the end of time, God will destroy the power of sin and death.  This is what creates the UNBELIEF that resides in our “flesh” or natural human bodies (outer man). Who is the one who has this power? We are told in The Devil had it in Hebrews 2:14, but it also says that Jesus came to “destroy the one who had the power of death”.

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil Heb 2:14 KJV

Friend, take my word.  With God there is no “MIGHT” or “MAYBE” or “SHOULD” like man translates these verses into different languages.  Jesus will do what he came to do.  He was God himself.

So, who holds the power of Death now?

Look at what Jesus tells us in Rev 1:18.

and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades Rev 1:18

Whether Satan is still running this current realm of darkness or not, it really does not matter.  He is under Jesus and Jesus is his head.  Jesus now holds the keys of death himself.  Now, do you see how the serpent’s seed and his Kingdom or darkness (death) and unbelief would be crushed? His Kingdom is only based and held together by the power of death or separation from God that is created in our minds by the power of sin in our bodies! God tells us plainly that the “last enemy to be abolished is DEATH“! This is when God turns on the LIGHT FOR ALL mankind and the covering of darkness and unbelief will be removed! ALL will see clearly with no more deception that comes from the power of sin in our bodies. Think about this beautiful scripture!

being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart (Ephesians 4:18)

On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations (Isaiah 25:7 NIV)

This will be the most magnificent day when the Lord destroys all spiritual flesh (death, sin and unbelief) and removes the covering of DARKNESS that is over all mankind! For now, during this current age, only his very body will turn to him and the veil or “covering” is removed selectively for them.

but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away (2 Corinthians 3:16)

Remember when Jesus said “the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it” in Matt 7:14? I believe very strongly he is referring ONLY to this present age called the “Church age”. Only his very body will find life in this age because thats what the Father’s plan calls for. This is a “relatively few” compared to the masses. HE is the one who causes this to happen, not us. Then, in the next age call the Millennial rule or “Thousand year reign” his very body (those saved in the current Age) will rule with him and truly spread the Gospel to the Ends of the Earth. Isaiah talks about this quite a bit and it’s great reading to lift your spirits.

We must really understand that God’s plan is over many ages.  Think about the words of Jesus here.

“Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.  Matt 12:32

Many don’t realize when Jesus spoke those words he was in the Age of the Mosaic law before the cross.  He basically said unbelief or “disobedience” will not be forgiven in this age (Mosaic law) and the next age (Church age or current age).  The next age after Jesus spoke those words is our current age or “Church age”.  The one after that is the “Millennial rule” or “Thousand year reign”.  The age of Millennial rule is 3 ages from when Jesus said those words, but he only said this age and the next it wouldn’t be forgiven.  Ponder that a bit.  Could he be saying that things could be dramatically better for salvation in the next age or “Millennial Kingdom”?  Could this be why he often calls it the age of “the Harvest”?  Could our current age be “preparing the workers” for the harvest?  Fun and existing things to think and ask him about.

At the end of the current Church age, when the Lord reappears, Satan will be locked up through the Millennial rule age and sin will no longer be present in any bodies.  Those who believed in this present age will get immortal spiritual bodies at that time but the rest will still have natural, mortal bodies yet.    The “Church” or believers from this age will have new, powerful, immortal spiritual bodies are actually part of God himself. It will be the very body of Christ that we will live and experience each day with no physical bodily needs and strong spiritual abilities just like Jesus himself. That is going to be so amazing to experience. During the next age or “Millenial rule” his body will go and deliver the Gospel to the rest of the world who are unbelievers and are still in natural (non spiritual) bodies without the power of sin (deception or darkness). This will be the TRUE harvest of righteousness when millions (maybe BILLIONS) will come to know Christ and be quickened to life just like his bride or very own body was in this current age.

Isn’t God’s plan so POWERFUL and exciting?  Doesn’t it sound TOO GOOD to be true?  It is and only Christ himself can give us the faith (his very own faith) to believe these things. I am praying he will do that for anyone who is brave enough to think deeply and search the scriptures about these things.

Well, I hope you enjoyed looking at the two Kingdoms that are growing side by side on Earth along with all the awesome rabbit trails we went down. I pray God will continue to enlighten us about The Kingdom of Light and the Kingdom of darkness which is fading away.

In the next article about this, I hope to go into all the talk of “Beasts” and animals of the Old Testament. I think you will be amazed at what God is really saying to us when he speaks in code as he refers to each of the two kingdoms. One Kingdom he calls “man” and the other he calls “beasts”.

God bless,

Have you ever stumbled upon this truth found in Ephesians 3:10?  This is a very astonishing verse that always amazes me.

so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authoritiesin the heavenly places. Eph 3:10

At God’s appointed time, true believers who are Christ’s body or “the Church” will actually reveal the truth to the very powers of darkness.

One word.  “Amazing…”
