Looking for a very honest book that asks serious questions about what we believe about God?
If anyone is searching for God and wants to read a book by a VERY honest Christian (ex?) Pastor, this is a very good one.
I must warn you. If you are new to this material and way of thinking, that some of the beginning may be a bit shocking… He doesn’t hold back in asking very honest questions. IMHO, we need more of that these days.
I am thoroughly enjoying it and highly recommend it. He writes and shares in a much more non-confrontational way than I am able to.

Does Genesis 2:4 reveal more that we realize?
Yesterday I shared about the powerful transition and change of point of view between Genesis 1 and 2.
Have you noticed this?
You can review that writing here.
This powerful transition occurs in one single verse – Genesis 2:4. I believe this verse is one of the most powerful verses in all of the Bible because it has so many transitions in it.
I believe if we can understand and see this truth, it will unlock man’s current situation better than ever before. Genesis and our current, daily life will begin to make amazing sense.Continue reading

Does God’s word really say that man was cursed?
But a mist used to rise from the earth and water the whole surface of the ground. 7 Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being Gen 2:6
Do you see what the mist did?
It rose FROM the earth to water the surface of the ground. The word is “alah”, (Strong’s 5927) which means to “ascend, rise, climb”.
Based, on this, which realm/location is HIGHER, spiritually speaking? The earth or the ground?
The Lord continues to surprise me with what I hear about “Peter” and “Simon”. Ever notice all the “Simon’s” in the 4 gospels? Simon, Simon Peter, Simon the Leper, Simon the Pharisee, Simon the tanner, Simon the Zealot (Canaanite!), Simon Iscariot, Simon of Cyrene. Here is a search if you are interested:
Today, I want to share a few things that he is impressing upon me about Genesis and the creation. I believe we can’t see the true gospel until we understand the truth of Genesis and our creation.
Point 1: God is outside of all time and space. Continue reading
