Is the translated Bible a “book of magic”?
The following verse has fascinated me since I first read it.
The original words say:
Enough YET of-the-ones THE about-acts practicing together-carry THE SCROLLS they-down-burned in-view of-all and they-together-pebble the values of-them and they-found of-silver MYRIADS(10,000) FIVE Acts 19:19 Westminster-Leningrad Codex
The King James version says:Continue reading
So you begin to start to come alive inside one day after hearing someone talk about Jesus and what he has “already done for you”. And you really start studying God’s Word and the writings of Paul really resonate with you. God is full of love and grace and he HAS reconciled us and forgiven us of ALL of our sins, past, present and future.
“We are cleansed and pure simply awaiting the “redemption of our body”, you settle in on according to Romans 8:23. We are told to “wait expectantly in hope”. Psalm 33:20, Romans 5:1-5
You are leaping for joy at what you are hearing from within and reading on the pages. You can feel his fire burning and want to share with everyone you see. He is doing this inside you are hearing and believing.
Then, you start to read and study the book of James.
And, just like a bucked of cold water on a warm fire, it’s gone. Continue reading
The mystery of God from our natural view.
Warning: The following will sound like the words of a crazy person.
I woke up this morning a couple hours early and couldn’t sleep again. Then, as I was becoming more awake, I heard a conversation going on again in my mind which has occurred many times before. Once I realized it wasn’t going to stop, I got up and started writing down what I heard.
I wrote for 3+ hours and was hoping I could share it with you, but it is not very understandable for our natural, linear human mind as it has too many topics all woven together. I couldn’t find the words to make it linear. So, I kept it for myself or I would be asking you to untangle a barrel of fish hooks. I don’t think I would like doing that, so I won’t ask you to.
Then, I stumbled upon this verse which is very close to being an epic summary of much of what I was hearing and writing.
Before we look at it, I a wondering if there is anyone truly seeking the truth who is willing to accept what it is really saying and dig deeper into it?
If you are, I can promise you that you will find both LIFE and the author of life, my friend. If you are still with me, please consider these words carefully and then let’s ask some questions.Continue reading
Have you ever played the game called “find the differences” in a picture?
Well, ask yourself the question… “How old was Ahazaih when he became King”?
Then, look at these two verses, first one from 2 Chronicles 2:22 and the second from 2 Kings 8:26.
See any differences?
If you do and wonder what is going on, ask the Lord and listen. He will reveal powerful and amazing things to you from within your own heart and mind. Far beyond what you can ask or even imagine. Eph 3:20
Today, I am asking the question: Should we believe man or God?
Man tells us this (is what God said) in Ezekiel 14:21:
For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast? Ezekiel 14:21 KJV
“For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: How much worse will it be when I send against Jerusalem my four dreadful judgments–sword and famine and wild beasts and plague–to kill its men and their animals! Ezekiel 14:21 NIV
Let’s see the actual original Hebrew words God gave us and read them ourselves directly. Continue reading
***** Edited 082414 – More words and added them to the end *******
I have been studying the original words of scripture again the past couple days and I see something interesting to me.
Today, I am seeing there are four different original Greek words for the English word “flesh” (not counting built-in punctuation or verbs).
Pondering this along with the exact precise nature of God, I can’t help but wonder if in God’s mind and the true (yet hidden) reality there are 4 different kinds of “flesh”?Continue reading
Will you take a risk and water the King’s land?
Today, I am wondering: “is the King is thirsty?” If so, will you give him a drink?
“And whoever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.” Matthew 10:42
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:40
What is this “water” that the Lord is speaking of in these verses? Is it water we drink from a bottle or a faucet and bathe our bodies in?
Or is this spiritual water?
Should we fear asking God the TOUGH questions?
There is a is a very heated topic and highly debated question that has been going on for a LONG TIME in the world. Maybe even in our own hearts and minds at times… I know I have grappled with it my fair share in my search for the real and highest truth God reveals in his Word.
And we often aggressively defend our own position as if in a life and death struggle. The question?
“Does the Bible have any CONTRADICTIONS”?
There, I said it. The cat’s out of the bag.
So, what you think? Are there any contradictions in the Bible?
Have you looked into it out yourself?
