Yesterday we looked at the idea that darkness could actually be the word “not” (ou) in the old and new testament.  We discussed that the light always has power over the darkness just as physical

Is God using death and “not” for his eternal good purposes?  Rom 11:32

light makes the darkness flee when the switch is flipped.  Natural is a reflection of the spiritual.

We saw some of the aspects of the “not” in 1 Cor 13 or the famous “love chapter”.  Most see the love verses, but sometimes miss the “not” verses.   Anytime we are told something is “not” or to “not” do something, we are being fed death via the law.  I believe that we all know in our hearts what is right and wrong.

Paul called ministry of “not” (the old testament) the “ministry of death” in 2 Cor 3:7

But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was 2 Cor 3:7

Is darkness also a form of light?

Mike Tyson isn’t normally known for his quotes, but one stuck with me.  He said in a documentary about him “The darkness is the light”.   There may be some real truth to this since John 1:9 specifically says there exists a “true” light.   Can one then conclude there may also be other forms of light?

Could even darkness itself be a form of light?

For example, what is darkness for man is not for a cat and other animals that can see in the “dark”.

Let’s explore darkness and the powers that rule it and ask some questions while delving in scripture, shall we?

Is God really making all things new?

Is God really making all things new?  Even right now?

Do you ever wonder what is going on right now all around us spiritually?

What is God “up to” even right now as we watch TV with our family or go to work?

Many people say they “want to know what God is doing right now” or they “wish they knew what God wants them to do“.   “I just want God to be real to me right now in my everyday life”, is often heard.

Do they really want that?

Or is that something they just say in order to be perceived as pious or “religious”?

Well, let’s test that a bit. I am going to share what God has revealed to me that has allowed me to see RIGHT now what he is doing.

First, please prepare yourself.Continue reading

Does God really live in our heart or not?

Does God really live in our heart or is that something we just say?

I have been going through a tough and challenging experience that maybe you have as well if you are a “person of faith”.

For some crazy, insane reason, I actually believe the Lord is living inside me.

Is this a crazy thought or maybe even “blasphemy” as many “Christians” are telling me in not so nice words?

Well, what are we told to do by Christians when they first approach us?Continue reading

So you begin to start to come alive inside one day after hearing someone talk about Jesus and what he has “already done for you”.  And you really start studying God’s Word and the writings of Paul really resonate with you. God is full of love and grace and he HAS reconciled us and forgiven us of ALL of our sins, past, present and future.

“We are cleansed and pure simply awaiting the “redemption of our body”, you settle in on according to Romans 8:23.  We are told to “wait expectantly in hope”.  Psalm 33:20, Romans 5:1-5

You are leaping for joy at what you are hearing from within and reading on the pages.  You can feel his fire burning and want to share with everyone you see.  He is doing this inside you are hearing and believing.

Then, you start to read and study the book of James.

And, just like a bucked of cold water on a warm fire, it’s gone. Continue reading

Today, I find myself back in Genesis 2 and 3 reviewing the “garden scene”.  I see so many amazing things edenoccurring there that I hope will be “eye opening” to you.

These are things that I suspect you haven’t heard but I believe are very good.  I pray it will give you a WHOLE new inspiring view of what is often called “the fall of man” and a whole new outlook on mankind and even yourself.  I know it has dramatically changed my view of who I am.

Before we do this, let’s ask the following question.

What are the parts of a man?  What is a human made of?Continue reading

Have you ever played the game called “find the differences” in a picture?

Well, ask yourself the question… “How old was Ahazaih when he became King”?

Then, look at these two verses, first one from 2 Chronicles 2:22 and the second from 2 Kings 8:26.

2Chron22_2

2Kings826

See any differences?

If you do and wonder what is going on, ask the Lord and listen.  He will reveal powerful and amazing things to you from within your own heart and mind.  Far beyond what you can ask or even imagine.  Eph 3:20

God bless.

Here is something that I pray will really encourage you today.  Check out this verse in it’s original words and consider this question.

Who is it that God is telling us that practices good or evil?

(Click on image to open in a new window)

The truth is indeed, VERY good my friend.  May we both hear his words of truth and life in our heart, mind today.

Today, I am asking the question: Should we believe man or God?

Man tells us this (is what God said) in Ezekiel 14:21:

For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast? Ezekiel 14:21 KJV

or

“For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: How much worse will it be when I send against Jerusalem my four dreadful judgments–sword and famine and wild beasts and plague–to kill its men and their animals! Ezekiel 14:21 NIV

Let’s see the actual original Hebrew words God gave us and read them ourselves directly.  Continue reading

Wolf in Sheep's clothing

Who are the “Wolves in Sheep’s clothing”?

Have you ever pondered these verses and asked the Lord their true meaning?

“Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravaging wolves Matt 7:15

So, what does it mean to be a “sheep” and to be in “sheep’s clothing”?  Is this a religious or non-religious person?  Why are they “ravaging wolves”?  Who is this referring to?

Let’s look at Ezekiel 22.

“Son of man, say to her, ‘You are a land that is not cleansed or rained on in the day of indignation.’ 25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets in her midst like a roaring lion tearing the prey. They have devoured lives; they have taken treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in the midst of her. 26 Her priests have done violence to My law and have profaned My holy things; they have made no distinction between the holy and the profane, and they have not taught the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they hide their eyes from My sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. 27 Her princes within her are like wolves tearing the prey, by shedding blood and destroying lives in order to get dishonest gain. 28 Her prophets have smeared whitewash for them, seeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ when the Lord has not spoken Ez 22:24-28

When do the “wolves” come in?Continue reading
