I heard a quote this morning and it really struck “a cord” in me. Maybe you will be fed by it too.
“God’s (highest) truth is the most beautiful thing we can ever discover but we can’t work directly for it. We must focus on the image and shadow version of him called “hard work, self-sacrifice, and charity to others“. He is hidden inside the darkness and he appears as a free gift of light and life to us all to be revealed in his time” Unknown
I am still learning this one…so please be patient and forgiving with me when I stumble.
Have a great day.
Is there more to “sin”, “son” and “sun” than we realize?
I never cease to be amazed by God.
He works in such mysterious and yet simple, “everyday” ways. I was just talking to my younger teen “son” about our Sunday goals before I release him to his computer. I started to hear a thought in my head (probably based on one of his simple yet profound thoughts) about the words “sin”, “son” and “sun”.
I knew I need to go look deeper to see what was going on. I have trained myself to pay very close attention to all my thoughts. I believe they are very important if we want to truly hear from God.
I know that the “sun” shines on the “earth” in our physical reality or our natural body. But, in the Bible God sometimes uses “son” and “sun” interchangeably. Also, he sometimes uses the word “earth” interchangeably with “body”. (Our “body” is even made of the “dust of the earth”) I believe this is NOT a coincidence.Continue reading
Will God really reign down fire and hail upon us?
Once again this morning, I woke hearing a conversation.
Once I was fully awake, I began writing it down. This experience is like if you have ever gone camping with others and they awake before you do and sit and talk in the background while you are sleeping. When you “awake” you start to hear and understand more of what is being said. Then, when I was fully “awake” today, it stopped.
As I was studying the scriptures that I was led to (based on what I heard), they prompted me to write this message. I apologize for the serious tone of it. I think a person who knows God and his character will be amazed by it as was I.Continue reading
Are feelings real?
Do you ever wake up one morning and suddenly everything appears dark and grim?
Situations and “things” that you viewed as very positive just the day before no longer appear that way at all. As a matter of fact, they seem to be a burden rather than a blessing.
You feel like you were somehow blindsided by a Mac truck in the middle of the highway. No, you feel you are STILL BEING RUN OVER by a Mac truck.
And is backing up and moving forward over and over.
You can’t even get a perspective to see what is happening. You just hear the engine rev and see the tires coming again.
If you could only get out from under “it” to see what in the world is going on.
Whatever “it” is.Continue reading
Should we be changing God’s “signs”?
Mankind has done some GREAT things, hasn’t he?
He has also done some “not so great things”.
One thing that man has done is taken Gods original words of living truth or “signs” as I like to call them and tried to assign meaning to them for us in our own native language.
This is AWESOME or how would we ever know what God was saying at all?
The original words God gave us were in Hebrew for the Old Testament and Greek for the new (with some other smaller exceptions).
I suspect that sometimes man was correct and sometimes he wasn’t. Sometimes he simply couldn’t see the bigger picture God was revealing. I know I often can’t until he unveils it in my minds eye and I have that powerful “ah-ha” moment I share so often.
Maybe he even saw the truth but didn’t believe it?
Or even worse… Maybe some other men had darker motives and they may have wanted to keep the truth from us for whatever ever reason?
Whatever the motive was, should we simply accept what man says based on “blind faith”? Or should we dig deeper to see if God meant something else? Do you think God rewards those who dig deep into his words in an effort to know him better?
Let’s look at some verses and compare what man said in the translation vs. what the original word was (as best as man can ascertain).Continue reading
Is God telling us more in all the numbers he uses to organize all his Word?
This is a follow-up to “Part 1” I wrote on Monday. This is what I sat down to share initially when the FIRE spoke within, but was so excited I never got to it.
That happens often.
I consider this the “meat” of what I wanted to share, but once I saw it, I was so in awe of God I wanted to sit and enjoy him with you first. Sometimes I ramble on and on when that occurs. Please forgive me for that.
I am astounded by his Word, both versions – written and living. I have found the Written Word merely points to the living Word who is a spiritual man and God’s Son. Then, Jesus the Living Word speaks to our hearts and reveals what the written means. And it’s ALL good… for everyone.
What exactly is the “Written Word” or the book we call “the Bible”?Continue reading
Is it possible that God is MUCH closer than we realize?
“God” absolutely continues to astound me.
I hope you will allow me to share a glimpse of the powerful experiences he has been allowing me to experience the past three years. Let’s face it. Life is hard and is full of pain and heartaches. I certainly have my share. I still have them, but in-between them I experience very high, mountain-top experiences that tell me “it is ok, I am taking care of all things for you”. It’s all I need to hear to rest.
Do you want to see more of God and his amazing beauty and glory in your everyday, pain-and-trial-filled life?
It happens nearly every morning when I get up out of bed and go to my computer and simply ponder his written Word or an “idea” I can’t let go of. The living Word soon begins to speak and appear within to reveal something beyond wonder and imagination. It is so exciting, like an infinite jig-saw puzzle that he is putting the pieces together within me from a hidden, unending realm or world.
Sounds crazy, doesn’t it?Continue reading
Good afternoon and happy Saturday,
What is the “valley of the shadow of death”?
I have spent most of this entire week in solitude and deep scripture study and spent a couple days in deep darkness. As much as I hate it, the sun ALWAYS rises in my heart after the “night of darkness”.
Are you ready to hear of a God MUCH bigger and more glorious than we have heard before? Hopefully, you are listening with your “new wineskin” from inside your heart. Otherwise, the old wineskin of the outer man may burst when we pour in this most awesome “new wine”. Mine has burst many times.
I was doing errands today and sitting, waiting in my car staring outside. Suddenly the words came to me in a FLASH (based on a conversation yesterday with a friend and Christian teacher…) I am always asking him to reveal more of the truth about “death“ and “life”. That was part of our awesome conversation. Her faith is so awesome to see, but we both agreed it appears out of death. Most (if not all) the people I know who have great faith have experienced great death in their “lives”. She lost her son who was in her 20’s and struggles with the darkness. My mother died at the age of 7 and “family” was very dysfunctional with lots of alcoholism. Another friend lost her young teen son to an accident. Others struggle greatly with addictions or abuse. All of them are seeing “death” first hand. All of them have great faith (full trust in God) as a result. It’s very refreshing to see.Continue reading
