God’s sign in the “sky” to Noah (and us?)

Have you ever noticed anything strange in the genealogies of Adam after Noah?

Lately, something about the Genealogies of Adam and Noah have been luring me in to dig deeper.  Everything seems fine up to Noah but then some strange things occur.  I discovered that we actually have two creations growing alongside each other.  One is the “wheat” and one is the “tares” as Jesus told us.  In Genesis I believe these are the “seed” of the Serpent and we have the “seed of Eve” or seed of “mother of all creation” as she is called just after these verses.  (Could her “seed” be related to Rev 12?)   I believe “her seed” is God’s seed (Christ) and the serpent’s seed is Satan’s family and both are growing alongside each other on the same “Earth” (human bodies) but in different realms.

Both “seeds” are spiritual, but possibly one is in the Heavenly (higher) spiritual realm and one is in the Earthly (lower) spiritual realm.  However, both inhabit a human body because they are the souls and spirits of man.  Wherever they are, we do know they are against each other.   Look at what God told the Serpent in Gen 3:15.

And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her seed (Gen 3:15)

(Start small side thought)
Could this “woman” be the very spiritual woman in Revelation 12 where the “dragon” or “original serpent” was attempting to devour her baby?
(End small side thought)

So, I believe we can conclude that part of the Genealogy that comes from Adam is the seed of the “woman” and part of it is the seed of the serpent.  Very intriguing! I love the mystery of God!  Could he be telling us about the kingdom of darkness at the same time as he is telling us about the kingdom of light?   Are they both growing together as one “mankind” in Adam?  I believe so.

Thus, this morning I was digging into this and studying the Genealogy of Adam after I noticed some discrepancies in the genealogies after Noah. I believe there are NO errors in God’s Word which are the original languages, but man does translate his Word to different languages and can make errors.  Unfortunately, man will even insert his own doctrine due to unbelief in the powerful promises of God or even to control others.  Thus, sometimes we need to dig into the original Greek and Hebrew words and wait for the Lord (who is truth) to show us the meaning.  An excellent site for doing this is www.biblehub.com.

However, I don’t believe we have a mistranslation here with the study of the genealogies because we are talking names which are easy to translate. I sense God wants to reveal something very powerful through Noah as he was a type or pointer to Christ. It is so amazing to see the entire event of Noah and what it says about God’s plan through his son Jesus. I believe the “Ark” was a pointer or sign of Jesus himself who not only brought in his entire “family” of Noah’s sons and wives, but also brought in two of every kind of “beast”.  (I believe each of these tells us something very specific and awesome about Gods plan of salvation and there is NO thing in his Word that is unsignificant!) When they finally landed, the covenant that God makes with him is very revealing.  I believe we can understand the New Covenant or the “promise” to Abraham much better by digging into the one he made with Noah – a type, pointer or sign of his Son Jesus. This is where I was parked before my earthly work started calling and customers needed help with technology. I was getting so excited and then “Earth called”.

As I was putting together the genealogies, I noticed that some things didn’t match up so I was going to look into it further. I believe this is always a sign God wants to reveal something deeper. I hope the Lord will reveal more on this and I will share what I find. Feel free to dig into it yourself and see directly what his Word and Spirit reveals.  Feel free to share what you find in this thread.  In the meantime, I was looking at the covenant God made with Noah and I don’t think we give this enough attention. I believe it will be very revealing to study this because Noah is a type or pointer of Christ. The agreement he made with Christ reveals the plan he has through and with his own son Jesus.

This brought me to these verses:

I establish My covenant with you; and all flesh shall never again be cut off by the water of the flood, neither shall there again be a flood to destroy the earth.”  (Gen 9:11)

God tells Noah that he will NEVER again destroy all “flesh” by a flood. This is important because aren’t we told in Revelation and Daniel 9:26 that “the end shall come in a flood”?  This is a great time to STOP and ask God “What exactly is ‘flesh'”?   Could there also be two types of “flesh”? One is natural (human body) and one is spiritualCould one be man’s fallen body (natural “flesh”) and one be man’s fallen SPIRIT (spiritual “flesh”) both under the power of darkness (The serpent)?  Dig into it and see what you find.  I think it will amaze and astound you and verses such as Gen 9:11 will take on whole new meaning!

Ok back to Noah and God after the flood.  The next two verses are very exciting.

God said, “This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations; 13 I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth. (Gen 9:12-13)

God tells us in verses 12 and 13 that he will create a SIGN of this covenant and put it in the “cloud”. Physically and naturally we know this as a rainbow or God’s “bow” in the rain cloud. However, as we discussed previously, God is often telling us TWO things in his Word. One is natural and physical that our natural, carnal mind is aware of and the other is SPIRITUAL!  The spiritual version is only understood through the Spirit as it speaks of God himself in the Spirit. Our natural mind understands the rainbow that we see in the physical clouds after the rain. However, could there also be a DEEPER, spiritual meaning to this “sign in the clouds”? I believe so and it is very exciting to see this. God tells us in the next couple verses more.

It shall come about, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow will be seen in the cloud, 15 and I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 When the bow is in the cloud, then I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” 17 And God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.” (Gen 9:14-17)

(Start long side thought)
Here is a powerful thing that will reveal us amazing DEEP things of God. We can learn about him and the TRUE Spiritual creation from the created physical creation!  Paul and Psalm 19:1-2 tell us that the things of God or the TRUE Spiritual meanings were always evident in the “Heavens” or our sky above us.

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. (Rom 1:20)

The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. 2 Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge. (Psalm 19:1-2)

because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. (Rom 1:19)

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained (Psalm 8:3)

We can know ABOUT God by studying his physical creation of the sky, clouds, Earth, moon, Sun even the Human Body!  Look at what he reminds us of every time we see a rainbow – never will their be a flood that destroys all flesh. He reveals amazing things about himself this way and I can attested to it personally. Much of what God reveals about Adam and Eve can be learned from the study of the Earth, Sun and moon. Could the Earth, Sun and moon possibly be a sign or pointer describing man’s body, spirit and soul?  🙂
(End long side thought)

So, lets think about the sign that God placed in the sky to remind himself and us of his covenant with Noah.  What exactly is the spiritual “bow”?  At this point I a not sure but I do believe he WILL tell us if we seek the answer.  Does God give us any clues?  Are there other verses that tell us of “signs in the sky”?

(Side thought)
By the way, here is a GREAT site to plug in a verse if you want to know more of what God is saying.  It will give you a list of cross references and you will gain GREAT insight into the original verse. This site has proven to be one of my most valuable research tools to digging into the mysteries of God.  http://www.openbible.info/labs/cross-references/
(End side thought)

Let’s ponder some other powerful verses.  Are they possibly related?

“And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. (Matt 24:30)

A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; and she was with child; and she *cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth (Rev 12:1)

Like the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud on the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around.  Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of one speaking. (Ezekiel 1:28)

Could they be related?  Could this also be describing the TRUE bow which is spiritual in nature?  Could God also be telling us that the “flood” at the end of time from Dan 9:26 is not a (natural) flood like we think?  Could it be a spiritual flood of truth and the new (re)birth of all creation?

Here is something else I found.  Dig around the Old testament in Isaiah and other books of prophecy a bit.  Look for the words “birth pains” or “pain as a woman giving birth” that occur RIGHT after God pronounces JUDGMENT upon the people.  What is God telling us?
