Watch out for God’s WRATH!

God's wrath is the law

What is God’s wrath?

Isn’t God’s wrath scary!?!

The Bible is very clear that God has a single day dedicated for his vengeance and terrible wrath against his enemies.

However, strangely enough, I run into MANY people who insist on being under his wrath and there is nothing I can do to convince them otherwise.

The verses about his wrath are bone-chilling!  Let’s look at a few of them.

He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. 15 From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.  Revelation 19:13-15

So the angel swung his sickle to the earth and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth, and threw them into the great wine press of the wrath of God. 20 And the wine press was trodden outside the city, and blood came out from the wine press, up to the horses’ bridles, for a distance of two hundred milesRevelation 14:19-20

You will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing,” says the Lord of hosts.  Malachi 4:3

They will be as mighty men, Treading down the enemy in the mire of the streets in battle; And they will fight, for the Lord will be with them; And the riders on horses will be put to shameZechariah 10:5

It will come about on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” declares the Lord God, “that My fury will mount up in My anger. 19 In My zeal and in My blazing wrath I declare that on that day there will surely be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 The fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all the creeping things that creep on the earth, and all the men who are on the face of the earth will shake at My presence; the mountains also will be thrown down, the steep pathways will collapse and every wall will fall to the ground. 21 I will call for a sword against him on all My mountains,” declares the Lord God. “Every man’s sword will be against his brother. 22 With pestilence and with blood I will enter into judgment with him; and I will rain on him and on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, a torrential rain, with hailstones, fire and brimstoneEzekiel 38:18-22

“I trod down the peoples in My anger And made them drunk in My wrath, And I poured out their lifeblood on the earth.”  Isaiah 63:6

For the Lord God of hosts has a day of panic, subjugation and confusion In the valley of vision, A breaking down of walls And a crying to the mountain.  Isaiah 22:5

And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire  Revelation 20:15

May they be blotted out of the book of life And may they not be recorded with the righteous  Psalm 69:28

“And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” Revelation 14:11
Doesn’t God’s wrath seem terrible?

I wouldn’t want to face it directly and I am sure you don’t want to either.  What is God so ANGRY about?

What is it that brings about God’s wrath?

Are you sure you want to see this?  This is extremely surprising at first as you will find we are actually taught the opposite on Sunday.

Amazingly enough, we are taught on Sunday to COME UNDER God’s WRATH!

I am going to take a risk and speak against all that because I want you to know the truth of what God’s Word really says.   I don’t want you to experience any of his wrath if he will allow it.

Almost there.

I don’t know.   Are you sure you can handle this?     This is very radical.   Jesus said we really should “count our costs before we build a tower”.    Are you sure you want to know this?

Ok, I will show you if you think you can handle it.   Once you really see the truth my friend, it will fill you with PURE JOY after the shock wears off.

because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression Romans 4:15

Hard to believe isn’t it?  The “law” or entire OLD COVENANT “mindset” or thinking where you are trying to change yourself, is what brings about God’s wrath!  We are under the Old Covenant of law when we don’t understand that Jesus took AWAY ALL our sin 2000 years ago at the cross!

My friend, I am here to tell you it’s true and you are NO LONGER under the OLD Covenant trying to earn anything from God!  It’s all a free gift you just take!  You ARE totally free from all sin right now as it has NOTHING to with behavior.  Behavior defined sin is ALL LAW!  It’s all belief or “faith” that it’s true now and he makes it appear when he wants.  He is 100% faithful every time.  This makes him very happy because he gets the praise and glory.  Once you see this most-powerful truth, you are now under the NEW Covenant which is 100% grace and TRUTH!   Unbelief of this powerful truth is what stirs up God’s anger as then we are then trying to earn our own righteousness apart from faith (Christ).  This unbelief puts us under the law or the Old Covenant and there is no middle ground or any mixture. It’s 100% one or the other!  I know it sounds too good to be true, but it is true!

Need more scriptural proof?   Well, there is MUCH more where that comes from.  Please spend some time thinking about what these verses are saying.  You will be SET FREE from the bondage of the LAW and SIN (unbelief!) ITSELF once you see the most powerful and SIMPLE truth that so many do not yet see.

What gives Sin and Death it’s Power

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law 1 Corinthians 15:56

because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin  Romans 3:20

The Lord God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; 17 but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.”  Genesis 2:16-17

I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death  Romans 7:10

Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died  Romans 7:19

for sin, taking an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it killed me.  Romans 7:11

He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant–not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life 2 Cor 3:6

The “Ministry of Death” Powered by the Law Blinds us to the Truth

But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was, 2 Cor 3:7

Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil Hebrews 2:14

We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one 1 John 5:19

in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Cor 4:4

Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts 2 Corinthians 3:15

But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ. 2 Cor 3:14

They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Eph 4:18

So, are you sure you want to be under the law?
Did you see who’s “ministry” the law and “death” is?

Amazing, huh?

Again, we only have two choices that are very simple and it is either one or the other.

Option 1 – Old Covenant of law: We can be under law and not believe that all our sins are totally gone and try to do something to change ourselves to “please God”.  This would be trying to earn our own righteousness under the law and would bring God’s wrath upon us.

Option 2 – New Covenant of grace: We can simply accept what God says that he fully removed ALL sins of ALL TIME via the ONE-TIME payment of his Son and we are now as Holy as his Son is like scripture says.  2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 3:21, Romans 4:25, Galatians 3:13, 1 John 3:5, 1 John 4:17, etc. etc. etc.  Hard to believe and sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it?    Yes it does.  If it wasn’t ALL OVER his very Word to us, we would never believe it.  I pray he will give all who read this the ability to believe the truth and rest in the completely finished work.  All sins are gone and Jesus did it!  You are “as he is only now in THIS World”!  1 John 4:17

Your choice.  Choose wisely.
