Yesterday we looked at the idea that darkness could actually be the word “not” (ou) in the old and new testament. We discussed that the light always has power over the darkness just as physical
light makes the darkness flee when the switch is flipped. Natural is a reflection of the spiritual.
We saw some of the aspects of the “not” in 1 Cor 13 or the famous “love chapter”. Most see the love verses, but sometimes miss the “not” verses. Anytime we are told something is “not” or to “not” do something, we are being fed death via the law. I believe that we all know in our hearts what is right and wrong.
Paul called ministry of “not” (the old testament) the “ministry of death” in 2 Cor 3:7
But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was 2 Cor 3:7
Want to see something very revealing? I pray the Lord opens our eyes and hearts to see this.
The word “not” first appears in Genesis 2:5 and does not appear at all in Chapter 1. Is this why everything in Chapter 1 is pronounced “good”? Death for man first appears when he is told to “not” partake of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Again, not = death.
We can find more details where the “ministry of death” (hidden in the word “not”) in the OT was given it’s power and orders that was engraved on the tablets of stones.
Let’s look at the “ministry of death” in letters “engraved on stones” and possibly our eyes will be opened to the truth about the old testament how the “not” (powers of darkness) truly are the “ministry of death”. The verses below when translated into English lose the order of the wording. This order is very important as we can completely change meaning by reordering the words.
We will use an original source where the order of the words is intact. Hopefully, you will see the hidden meaning and commands (of death) written directly to the “not”. Again, think of “not” as the “powers of darkness”. Our natural body is still under the power of the old covenant which is why it will die and still falls to the power of sin. Romans 7:17, 20, 23
In Exodus 20 was where Moses reveals to the Israelites what was “engraved on stones”.
The first verse of Exodus 20:3, we will see where the Lord made “not” (power of darkness and sin) God over all mankind. “Not” (darkness) was commanded directly to do these things.
Next, in Exodus 20:4 we see where the God “not” is commanded to make idols.
Now, we will see where the Lord commanded “not” to bow down to the idols they created. He is binding them under sin. Romans 11:32
Ready for some “light” and “love”? This occurs in 20:6. Notice there is no “not” in this verse. Light and love is disguised inside and as the “and” (spiritual flesh). John 1:14
Next verse of Exodus 20:7, “not” is commanded to take the name of the Lord God for the futility or in vain.
Now, we go through roughly 5 verses that don’t have “not”. They are directed toward the light side.
We pick up in Exodus 20:13 where it says “not you shall murder” and 20:14 is “not you shall commit adultery”. Exodus 20:15 says “not you shall steal” and 20:16 is “not you shall answer in associate of you testimony of falsehood’. Finally, in Exodus 20:17, not is commanded to covet different things.
Again, remember if you read the English translated versions, the word “not” is moved around. IMHO, this is a complete no-no. I believe we should leave the order intact the way it was given to us.
I understand that this is a radical way of looking at the ministry of death and “not”. Perhaps we will begin to see why we still have so much darkness in this world and in our selves. Paul tells us that anytime that “Moses” (Old testament) is read, a veil (of darkness) remains over a person’s heart. 2 Cor 3:15
I have confidence that the Lord truly is “making all things new” (Rev 21:5) in a realm or realms we can not see. I see our present Earth and body as a “sandbox” that is only temporary.
God bless my friend.
