One man – Christ

Good morning friends,

My earthly work has been picking up lately and I haven’t been able to spend as much time in the Word or share anything in the last week.  I can definitely feel the fire die down inside when this occurs as my outer man is much more active and he lives only by what he sees.   However, God is at work even in the darkness and yesterday while working I could hear thoughts that I believe were God telling me something amazing.

I was setting up a client’s computers and working quietly waiting for something to finish and as I sat there at the client’s desk, I looked at his pictures of his beautiful family.  As I looked at the features of the human face I started to think “I wonder if God made the human face like he did on purpose to show us something?”.  My mind is so curious to find more and more about God all the time.  It’s the words of Paul that come to mind so often that cause me to do this:

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse  Romans 1:18-20

These verses always astound me.  Paul is telling us that we can see God all around and WITHIN US if we will just look.  Even though he is hidden from our view, we can see the image and shadow “pointers” or signs that he has created that point to an aspect of himself.  For example, “tree’s” mean something different than a large wooden plant that grows in the ground.  Look at Ezekiel 31and you will see what God is referring to when he speaks of “tree’s”.  Same for “rivers”.  To find more about them, go to Ezekiel 29 and you will find out what God really means when tells us about “rivers”.

Isn’t it interesting that he mentions 4 “rivers” in Genesis 2 that divide the physical Earth?  I am sure he is not talking about the physical earth here.  I believe he is telling us that the realm of the body (Earth) was already divided up and put under the power of the 4 “winds of heaven” or 4 powerful angels.  Hopefully, the Lord will open our eyes to see these things.

Speaking of eyes…

So, I am looking at the pictures of my client’s beautiful family and I began to look at the features of the human face and sat quietly waiting for something to finish on the computer I was working on.  I began to think “Why do we have two eyes but only one mouth?”.  (Btw, I believe when these thoughts come to me that this is God himself doing this as he wants to reveal something deeper to me.)  IMHO it’s a great idea to pay close attention to them and go where they lead us.

This verse was on my mind at the same time.

For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ 2 Corinthians 4:6

I heard back this thought.

“Because we need one eye for each realm that we exist in but there really only exists ONE true bread (food) and that is Christ.”  This didn’t hit me right away what this meant, but did later as the words settled in.

As we know, we currently exist in two separate realms.   Both Heaven and Earth which are separated by a veil or the “expanse” of Genesis 1.  Earth is the shadow realm or the realm of the image that isn’t the true substance.  Christ is the true substance who is in Heaven, but also in us too.  We are in him and we too are in heaven, but our bodies and natural outer man is on Earth as well.  Thus, we exist in both Heaven and Earth at the same time.  Two different realms at the same time that will eventually be fully merged into one.  I believe they already are, but we simply can’t see it yet.

Now, do you see why we need two “eyes”?

One “eye” is for heaven and truth or spiritual things and the other is for the Earth and natural things and the natural body.  Now, I don’t mean our actual physical eyes.  We can think of our eyes as metaphors.  They are spiritual “eyes” and the “right” eye or “arm” or “hand” is always the more powerful one or the spiritual one.  The “left” one is the natural one on Earth.  This is just like God tells us he has a “left” arm and a “right” arm.  The “right” arm is always the more powerful spiritual one in a higher realm.  God’s “right” hand is Christ himself.  God’s “left” hand is Satan who is his minister of the law who carries out God’s wrath on Earth to those who don’t believe the true Gospel.

So, some parts of our face and body have two whereas some have one.  We need two “ears” so we can hear both earthly, natural things through the natural human body and also hear from God himself.  I believe the Bible teaches that Jesus is our spiritual (right) eye and ear who allows us to hear from the father.  He is the upper half or the “head” of our own soul that is above the veil and seated in Heaven.  Yet this is also inside of us.  He connects or “interfaces” us with the father himself and speaks to us from within the very Words of the father.  Wow….

One mouth.

What is the purpose of our mouth?

Well, it takes in our food or “bread” and sends it to our stomach.  Our stomach separates the life-giving energy from the waste and feeds us the life-giving energy while it disposes of the waste. We need not worry about what part of our food is “life” and what part is “death” or waste.  God designed our stomach to do that automatically for us.  This is what Christ does as well as he is our TRUE bread.

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. 50 This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.”

52 Then the Jews began to argue with one another, saying, “How can this man give us His flesh to eat?” 53 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. 54 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. 55 For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me. 58 This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever.”  John 6:47-58

Christ who is one with BOTH our outer man AND our inner man.  ALL of us is HIS body including our outer man which is his flesh and it is still dying.  We must “eat” of it and “consume” it in order to live.  This is his very life inside of us that is consuming death itself in the outer man which then feeds us eternal life.  Basically, we must all die completely and then our new, perfect, eternal person will be made manifest.  Our old man (his flesh) will have been fully consumed and “death would have swallowed up life”!  We will live forever with him then.

Also, God revealed to us how Christ feeds us life – the same as our natural, physical stomach.  Because Christ lives within us, he allows us to take in ALL we hear with no fear of deception.  He separates the truth from error and disposes of the darkness (lies and deceptions).  We need not worry about it at all.   Sadly, so often we miss God because we fear deception.  When this occurs, we are not trusting the very Spirit of God to do what he does –  feed us life FROM within the darkness that it is wrapped in.  This is true whether it is the physical food we eat or the words and teachings we listen to.  Christ is our one teacher and he lives inside us.  He will keep us standing in faith until the end.

We need not fear anything and there is no fear in God.

We can rest and take in all we hear while trusting our Lord to keep us.  This is true peace and true life.  Even the things called “new age” have so much life in them and we need not fear them.  Some “new age” teachers understand God and his Word better than most of the Christian religion even though they don’t speak the language or doctrines.  They just live it from their hearts.  This is a great example of Christ living from within a person and not from the outer man.

So, I am sure you can now think about why we have two ears as well.  One for earthly things and the natural body and one for heavenly things and the true things of the spirit.  Our spiritual ears are Christ himself as are our eyes and he also feeds us the true bread too through our spiritual “mouth” or heart.

As a matter of fact, Christ himself is the “head” of the entire body.  I have come to realize that the word “head” means soul.

“We” are the physical body or the “Church”, Christ is the “head” or the soul and the father is the very spirit.

Guess what we have?

A man.

Body, soul and Spirit.

God bless you my friend.
