Yesterday we looked at the idea that darkness could actually be the word “not” (ou) in the old and new testament.  We discussed that the light always has power over the darkness just as physical

Is God using death and “not” for his eternal good purposes?  Rom 11:32

light makes the darkness flee when the switch is flipped.  Natural is a reflection of the spiritual.

We saw some of the aspects of the “not” in 1 Cor 13 or the famous “love chapter”.  Most see the love verses, but sometimes miss the “not” verses.   Anytime we are told something is “not” or to “not” do something, we are being fed death via the law.  I believe that we all know in our hearts what is right and wrong.

Paul called ministry of “not” (the old testament) the “ministry of death” in 2 Cor 3:7

But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was 2 Cor 3:7

Want to see something very revealing?  I pray the Lord opens our eyes and hearts to see this.Continue reading

Is darkness also a form of light?

Mike Tyson isn’t normally known for his quotes, but one stuck with me.  He said in a documentary about him “The darkness is the light”.   There may be some real truth to this since John 1:9 specifically says there exists a “true” light.   Can one then conclude there may also be other forms of light?

Could even darkness itself be a form of light?

For example, what is darkness for man is not for a cat and other animals that can see in the “dark”.

Let’s explore darkness and the powers that rule it and ask some questions while delving in scripture, shall we?

One of my most favorite verses is Genesis 1:1 because I believe it includes all other verses within it.  Most people read the English translated (by man) version that says something like “in the beginning God created…”

Is that what scripture actually says?  Here are the original words in the original order.

Now, seriously, ask yourself who does the creating (spiritual birthing)?  “He “does, doesn’t he?  Is this the father?  I believe it is.

Who is birthed?

Is it not Elohim?   Is this the Son being “begotten” or spiritually born?

Check out Psalms 2

I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou [art] my Son; this day have I begotten thee Psalms 2:7

This is reiterated in Hebrews 1:5.

For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? Heb 1:5

Please  notice it is occurring on THIS day and is ongoing.  The entire old creation is being reborn into the new.   That’s something to celebrate today!

Ever wonder what single verse is the “universe”?

Check out Genesis 1:1. It’s an ongoing (never-ending) “in the begin inning”.

Is Genesis 1:1 the “uni-verse”? (single standalone verse)

We are and will be constantly be getting a  new heavens (location of spirit and soul) and Earth (location of body).  Please notice the “colon” at the end of the verse.  What is the purpose of a colon?

Doesn’t it separate what comes before from all that comes after?

Would that make Genesis 1:1 the “uni-(single) verse?

Have you ever been told that once a person “believes in Jesus” that the Holy Spirit will come and live inside that person?

Doesn’t this cause us to also believe that our own actions are causing God to do something?

Is that the way God works?  Or is it the other way around?

What does scripture say?  Do we cause the Holy Spirit to act or does God?

Let’s look at Acts 10:45 in the original words and see.Continue reading

Is the translated Bible a "book of magic"?

Is the translated Bible a “book of magic”?

The following verse has fascinated me since I first read it.

Acts19_19The original words say:

Enough YET of-the-ones THE about-acts practicing together-carry THE SCROLLS they-down-burned in-view of-all and they-together-pebble the values of-them and they-found of-silver MYRIADS(10,000) FIVE Acts 19:19 Westminster-Leningrad Codex

The King James version says:Continue reading

What exactly is "his blood"?

What exactly is “his blood”?

Good afternoon,

The last few days have been in intense scripture study and things about the “blood of him” and “soul of him” and “the flesh” have arisen.  Let’s take a look.

Is the “soul of all flesh” really the “blood of him”?  Leviticus 17:14

Could this also be “his soul” that he “laid down” “for the life of the world” and “on our heads” (Matt 27:25)?

Could this be related to “the woman” of Genesis 3?

Let’s consider these things together, shall we?

Blood of him

Blessings to you today.

If I were God, was all-powerful, and I truly loved all people and wanted them to be with me forever, how would I cause this to occur?

What if I made a person’s imperfection or what the Bible calls “sin” their “free ticket” to receive my OWN perfect righteousness and thus be with me forever?  Do you think they would be thankful when they found out about this free eternally good gift?

If I were God, would I have the power to do this?  Wouldn’t this be a “foolproof” plan?

Now, certainly, I am not smarter than God, right?Continue reading
