Yesterday we looked at the idea that darkness could actually be the word “not” (ou) in the old and new testament. We discussed that the light always has power over the darkness just as physical
Is God using death and “not” for his eternal good purposes? Rom 11:32
light makes the darkness flee when the switch is flipped. Natural is a reflection of the spiritual.
We saw some of the aspects of the “not” in 1 Cor 13 or the famous “love chapter”. Most see the love verses, but sometimes miss the “not” verses. Anytime we are told something is “not” or to “not” do something, we are being fed death via the law. I believe that we all know in our hearts what is right and wrong.
Paul called ministry of “not” (the old testament) the “ministry of death” in 2 Cor 3:7
But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was 2 Cor 3:7

What really is sin according to God’s words?
What really is sin?
Is it immoral behavior?
Or is it MUCH deeper and all-encompassing?
Let’s look at the original words of God. What he shows us is very powerful and very freeing…
What really is Sin?
If I were God, was all-powerful, and I truly loved all people and wanted them to be with me forever, how would I cause this to occur?
What if I made a person’s imperfection or what the Bible calls “sin” their “free ticket” to receive my OWN perfect righteousness and thus be with me forever? Do you think they would be thankful when they found out about this free eternally good gift?
If I were God, would I have the power to do this? Wouldn’t this be a “foolproof” plan?
Now, certainly, I am not smarter than God, right?Continue reading
Does God really live in our heart or is that something we just say?
I have been going through a tough and challenging experience that maybe you have as well if you are a “person of faith”.
For some crazy, insane reason, I actually believe the Lord is living inside me.
Is this a crazy thought or maybe even “blasphemy” as many “Christians” are telling me in not so nice words?
Well, what are we told to do by Christians when they first approach us?Continue reading
Have you ever played the game called “find the differences” in a picture?
Well, ask yourself the question… “How old was Ahazaih when he became King”?
Then, look at these two verses, first one from 2 Chronicles 2:22 and the second from 2 Kings 8:26.
See any differences?
If you do and wonder what is going on, ask the Lord and listen. He will reveal powerful and amazing things to you from within your own heart and mind. Far beyond what you can ask or even imagine. Eph 3:20
Here is something that I pray will really encourage you today. Check out this verse in it’s original words and consider this question.
Who is it that God is telling us that practices good or evil?
(Click on image to open in a new window)
The truth is indeed, VERY good my friend. May we both hear his words of truth and life in our heart, mind today.
These are things that took me by surprise when I first noticed them. Have you noticed?
Is God our “minds eye” who allows us to truly “see” spiritual truth?
Have you noticed that “darkness” already existed in the second verse of the entire bible?
The word is “choshek” and here is the Strong’s entry for it.
H2822 choshek kho-shek’
from H2821; the dark; hence (literally) darkness; figuratively, misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness.
KJV: dark(-ness), night, obscurity.
Have you noticed that in Isaiah 45:7 that the Lord tells us he is the one who created the darkness? Do you ever wonder when it was created?
Have you noticed that in Genesis 2:10 it says a river flowed out of Eden to water the Garden. How could this garden be in Eden?Continue reading
Who are the “Wolves in Sheep’s clothing”?
Have you ever pondered these verses and asked the Lord their true meaning?
“Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravaging wolves Matt 7:15
So, what does it mean to be a “sheep” and to be in “sheep’s clothing”? Is this a religious or non-religious person? Why are they “ravaging wolves”? Who is this referring to?
Let’s look at Ezekiel 22.
“Son of man, say to her, ‘You are a land that is not cleansed or rained on in the day of indignation.’ 25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets in her midst like a roaring lion tearing the prey. They have devoured lives; they have taken treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in the midst of her. 26 Her priests have done violence to My law and have profaned My holy things; they have made no distinction between the holy and the profane, and they have not taught the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they hide their eyes from My sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. 27 Her princes within her are like wolves tearing the prey, by shedding blood and destroying lives in order to get dishonest gain. 28 Her prophets have smeared whitewash for them, seeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ when the Lord has not spoken Ez 22:24-28

Jesus tells us some very SHOCKING things. I am wondering if ANYONE actually believes these words? I have yet to meet someone who does.
You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved Matt 10:22
You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved Mark 13:13
and you will be hated by all because of My name Luke 21:17
Let me ask you this “Christ-follower” … are you hated by ALL?
Think about the person you know who knows God’s Word the best. Are THEY hated by ALL?Continue reading
Are you being un-shackled or “re-shackled” on Sunday?
Are you be RE-shackled on Sunday?
Do you ever find yourself committing to “praying more” or “praying harder” or “reading more scripture” or “attending church (more)” or “volunteering more” in order to improve your own righteousness or your standing in God’s eyes because of a message or sermon you heard?
Or, are you simply trusting in the Lord to do perform your FULL sanctification and purification?
None of the above things are bad, but we need to examine the motives of our hearts. So many of us do not take the time to stop and get quiet and ask the Lord why we are doing these things. I pray that you would take the time yourself and look into his original words of scripture on the subject.
Sadly, we are taught in Churches every Sunday that “God is not happy with you” because of “x” behavior or “x” sin. They won’t tell you directly, but our heart hears the message and the fear of the message causes us to act on our “lack”. We feel we must DO something about that sin that is NOW more than ever eating us up inside. So, we regroup and “start over”. We try harder and the cycle repeats until you crash again.Continue reading
