IMHO the apostle Paul had the deepest spiritual revelation although he was “last” apostle to be chosen.
and last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to me also 1 Cor 15:8
He probably didn’t worry because of the words of Jesus.
“So the last shall be first, and the first last.” Matt 20:16
Jesus called this the “great reversal” where the high, mighty and exalted will be humbled greatly and become the servants of the lowly and overlooked.
Very few would disagree that Paul had the highest revelation and deepest understanding of the true gospel. He even wrote 2/3 of the new testament. I also believe because of his HIGH revelation of mighty things this is why he was given the “thorn in the flesh”. 2 Cor 12:7
His truth that he taught was simply much higher and more pure than the others. As a matter of fact, he says some stunning things that I think may be a good idea to pay close attention to.
Look at this verse:
on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus Romans 2:16
Did you see according to who’s gospel God will judge the secrets of men’s hearts?
Look at these verses:
Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past Romans 16:25
Did you see who’s gospel you can be established by? Are you noticing the verse numbers too?
Look at this one.
Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descendant of David, according to my gospel 2 Tim 2:8
Here is another amazing thing to think about. Paul is the only one who calls the message “my” gospel. He is also the ONLY one who says he is “not sent from men nor through the agency of man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father” in Gal 1:1.
Those are powerful words, aren’t they? I wonder if we should we pay very closer attention to his words? Look at what he specifically says in Galatians 1:6-9. These are some strong words!
I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; 7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! 9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! Gal 1:6-9
I think we need to make sure we are hearing the RIGHT Gospel, don’t you?
Here is another astonishing thing I found. God is very particular about names as each name has specific power and authority.
Paul is the ONLY ONE who uses the name or even SPEAKS THE WORDS “Christ Jesus”.
The exact name and order of the words “Christ Jesus” appear 87 times in the NASB translation of the Bible. They are in Paul’s epistles 100% of the time! No other apostle or person uses the name “Christ Jesus”.
Does this make you wonder?
